
A graduate mechanical engineer from New Zealand with over 15 years experience in the energy industry. Geoff is experienced in conducting technical due diligence assessments on multi-megawatt solar PV projects covering the contracts, supply agreements, layouts and technology assessments. Geoff has extensive experience in assessing sites for various renewable resources, selecting the technology and optimising the electric generation potential. He is skilled in developing feasibility studies, plant sizing and design. Geoff has developed expertise in the microgeneration sector analysing and modelling various technologies including solar PV, small wind, small hydro, and ground source heat pumps suitable for building applications. Geoff was the leader for the consortium providing the UK’s contribution to the International Energy Agency Task on Hydrogen Implementation and has developed expertise and skills in the modelling and use of hydrogen systems. Geoff provides technical expertise to industry and government working groups setting policy and standards for renewable energy.

A graduate electrical engineer from the Pune University, India, with over 12 years experience. Arif has been actively involved in design and project consultancy services in renewable energy for the last six years. He has worked on the design and development of a large number of projects with an emphasis on solar, hybrid technologies (wind-solar), off grid systems and rural electrification. Arif has been a consulting and energy management engineer for Electrical Systems for various commercial applications like hotels, shopping malls and hospitals.
Neil is a qualified graduate in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, UK and has worked in SgurrEnergy’s wind analysis, due diligence and technical services team for the last 4 years. This work has included successful delivery on the majority of due diligence and technical advisory assignments for lenders, investors and project developers on projects all over the world. His most recent experience includes lenders’ engineer assignments in Europe and SE Asia, as well as major acquisition due diligence assignments such as Scottish and Southern Energy’s purchase of Airtricity Ltd for £1.1bn in February 2008. Neil has extensive experience in all aspects of wind resource assessment, site feasibility, MCP techniques and energy yield predictions in numerous countries.
